Released 7th March 2013, the second blend from the Johnnie Walker Explorers’ Club Collection, this is said to have been inspired by journeys made by the Walker family and their agents - from Central America through the Andean mountains and along the coast of the Pacific Ocean.
In August 2014 Diageo lost a lawsuit brought by The Explorers’ Club, a Manhattan based not-for-profit organisation founded in 1904, alleging that the conglomerate had stolen its trademark for its Johnnie Walker Explorers’ Club range. The judge ordered Diageo to take bottles of Explorers’ Club whisky off the shelves and to cease using the name. A spokeswoman for Diageo is reported as saying, “We are extremely disappointed and disagree with the decision of Judge Ramos. “We are awaiting official receipt of the order and are planning to seek to stay the injunction while we immediately appeal this case.”

Aparência:
Clear, deep golden amber with burnished golden highlights.
Aroma:
Tropical dried fruit, dried pineapple, leather, cracked black pepper and barley with wisps of smoke.
Sabor:
Very slightly sweet honeyed vanilla with pronounced smoky peat, light saltyness, lemon zest and root ginger spice.
Aftertaste:
Medium finish with lingering smoke, charred malt and saltyness.
