This high proof 73% abv addition to the Plantation range is a blend of 6 month to 2 year-old Trini rums with added caramel colouring. There also a 40% abv bottling of Original Dark in the Plantation range and together these are the only bottlings in the Plantation range not finished in cognac casks.

Aparência:

Clear, Indian gold yellow with range highlights.

Aroma:

Bitter apricot and orange marmalade nose with aromas of cherryade, chilli heat, buttery oak and a touch of old-fashioned oil paint.

Sabor:

Diluted to approx. 40% abv yields a huge palate with chewy bitter oak, overripe banana, toffee, sweet cherry, well-charred wholemeal toast and vanilla.

Aftertaste:

Burnt toast, bitter toffee, sweet caramel finish.
