Clear deep golden with flecks of rose gold.
Pungent buttery vanilla and spice with leathery pencil shaving oak, faint burnt coconut macaroon, pastry and tarmac. Ripe red apple and more pastry with water.
Vinous fruit and Christmassy spice with salted caramel, old oak, generous vanilla and underlying pear drops and ripe plum fruitiness. Water amplifies white pepper spice and exposes a pleasing waxiness.
More vinous fruit in the medium length, spicy, buttery vanilla oak finish.
An incredibly rare Lowland single grain Scotch whisky from the long since closed Cambus, this shows how exceptional a very old grain whisky can be with buttery vanilla, vinous fruit and Christmassy spice with salted caramel.
