Review and Tasting

Sampled on 12/05/2020

Appearance:

Opaque, pale cloudy yellow. (Throws heavy sediment in bottle so shake well before opening).

Aroma:

Pungent zest citrus - grapefruit.

Taste:

Intense tart lemon and grapefruit not quite balanced by sugary sweetness. The palate is on the sour side. Powerful citrus flavour masks the sake.

Aftertaste:

Long tart citrusy finish.

Overall:

This tart, sour, and intensely citrusy liqueur is great served chilled as an aperitif and is a versatile cocktail ingredient that can be used in place of, or in addition to fresh citrus fruit.
