Review and Tasting
Sampled on 30/09/2021
Appearance:
Clear, golden amber.
Aroma:
Malted barley, brasil nuts, almonds and Battenburg cake with freshly sawn oak and cinnamon.
Taste:
Digestive biscuit but with a bitter dark chocolate topping and a dusting of freshly grated cinnamon and nutmeg.
Aftertaste:
Toasty malted barley and spicy dark chocolate biscuit with lingering cinnamon.
Overall:
Drier and fruitier with water, perhaps amplifying the European oak over American oak. A single malt with youthful exuberance - very much look forward to reacquainting when a teenager.
