First made in 1990 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale is brewed in Kent by Britain's oldest brewer using malted barley and three different Kent-grown hop varieties - Target, First Gold and East Kent Goldings.

Appearance:

Clear, deep coppery amber with white head which quickly subsides to thin layer of foam with little lacing.

Aroma:

Citrusy caramel, stale bread, plump sultana and faint toffee with mild plastic box hoppyness.

Taste:

Fruity caramel palate with mild oily grassy hops, faint marmalade orange and burnt toast nutty malt.

Aftertaste:

Moderately dry, peppery spice with lingering metallic grassy hops.
