A strong Belgium pale ale made by the Kasteel (Castle) Brewery in Ingelmunster in West Flanders. It is allowed to larger or age for six months before being re-fermented inside the bottle in a warm room of 22ºC for two to three weeks.

Sampled on 30/09/2012

Appearance:

(best before 10-13) Clear, mid golden amber with medium lasting white head.

Aroma:

Malty barley with faint overripe banana yeast, hints of pine, lemon sherbet and vanilla.

Taste:

Vinous alcohol leads but does not overpower bready malt and fruity yeast.

Aftertaste:

Long bready finish with lingering alcohol and peachy fruit.
