Review and Tasting

Sampled on 04/06/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle BBE Sep/17) Clear, deep coppery golden amber with retentive light beige head and light lacing.

Aroma:

Piney hops, zesty orange and dried fruit with raw wholemeal bread dough and faint clove.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied with assertive hop bitterness and underlying brown bready maltiness.

Aftertaste:

Long finish with lingering bitterness and marmalade citrus.

Overall:

Hop bitterness is perhaps a little too muscular in this brown bready pale ale.
