All vermouth are flavoured with an infusion of botanicals (herbs, spices, roots, fruits, barks and flowers) and some vermouths are more forward flavoured with a particular botanical, in this case cherry blossom.
The flavouring of vermouth is traditional in Turin where the practice dates back to the early commercialisation of vermouth in the late 1700s. However, cherry blossom is a modern innovation by Giancarlo Mancino who created Mancino Vermouth de Torino Sakura.
