Winning cocktail: The Golden South
60 ml Patrón Reposado
40 ml Verjus
25 ml Bergamot liqueur
10 ml Sugar syrup
+ Lime coated with gold leaf
Shake all the ingredients over ice.
Crush dried strawberries and red pepper using a pestle and mortar.
Coat lime slice with gold leaf.
Moisten the rim of the glass and dip into the strawberry and pepper mix.
Add ice (one piece, a large 'rock') to the glass and strain drink over it.
Decorate the rim with the gold-coated lime.
