Sweeter and lighter bodied than I expected. Much less overtly herbal than many other sweet vermouths. More wine like. Now to try it in a cocktail!

This is a pretty great sweet vermouth

This was a long-overdue addition to my vermouth stash... it really is a complex one. For me, I was most impressed by the chocolate aftertaste when used in a 50:50 Martini (as well as the orange citrus element — I may experiment in creating a Xmas cocktail seeking that Terry's Chocolate Orange vibe), I loved it!

This was the first sweet vermouth I bought. Fell in love with it in a Negroni. Now, I'm out and it will be a while before I'll be in an area where it is sold, so I picked up some Martini Rosso. Dang, I may have to give up Negronis for a while. :,(

How does this compare to Carpano Antica Formula?

More spice in the richer Carpano Antica Formula. Please see my tasting notes on that page.

I love this vermouth. I was really impressed at the upgrade to my negroni from using this instead of Martini & Rossi.
