I substituted gin for tequila, made for a nice cocktail while watching White Christmas.

Made this again but used Anejo tequila and left out the agave syrup. Added a few drops of Diffard's Margarita Bitters. Brought the tequila taste forward and added a little spice. Wonderful.

I come from a family of two different cultures. My mother was from Scotland and my father's family from Mexico. For Christmas morning breakfast we always have tamales. This was a perfect Christmas morning cocktail for the tamales. Will now be part of our Christmas tradition.
