I ran out of whiskey so I made this with cognac instead for a nice simple variation. Afterwards I made another addition - adding 1 fl oz of cream and an amarena cherry for a delightful dessert cocktail (shaken). More of a variation of a Brandy Alexander, but still delightful.

I substituted gin for tequila, made for a nice cocktail while watching White Christmas.

Took your suggestion and added two amarena cherries for an extra treat.

My family either uses 7-up or Sprite and it is a long drink. I have one aunt who refers to these as 'truth serums' because they will get tongues wagging after about two.
