The amount to "top up with" varies by cocktail and is usually to fill to just under the brim of the glass. Since 2019, I have been stating volumes for all ingredients and I'm gradually updating all previously added cocktails. Is there a cocktail in particular you are referring to?
I was just wishing the other day that the recipes that say "Top up with" were more specific, so I'm glad to see you're slowly updating them. 3 that I've come across recently were: Blue Lagoon, Citrus Rum Cooler, & The Big Easy. Cheers!
Thank you for your swift response. I raised the question preparing an Apple spritz but I struggled with this question before, e.g. the royal mojito, Gin Buck. I understand the logic of the glass brim but that of course also depends on the volume of the ice in a mojito or buck. So, it’s great that you are updating. Given the number of entries that’s quite a job. I am struggling to make and enjoy all the cocktails in a 10-year plan with a pace of 365 cocktails a year. Also thank you for this great site that I am promoting a lot as the place to go for cocktails. Kind regards, Jock
