It's rum forward and very nicely balanced. Perhaps it's for later in the evening, to be savoured more leisurely than the more classic Daquiris. We went with Havana Club Original, Plantation Original Dark and Rhum JM Rhum Blanc Agricole.

Would consider making this a quad Daiquiri and having an overproof Navy Rum float. Maybe next time.

Not your ordinary daiquiri. Used Clairin Vaval Agricole instead of the cachaca. Also used Hamilton Demerara Rum. Very tart so do not leave out the sugar. A daiquiri for people who like to taste the rum.

Excellent recipe! You can also add one leaf of mint for decoration.
