Does this still come with the crown cap? If so how long will the stopper keep it good for .. in fridge or freezer?

Yes, the bottle is sealed with a crown cap but we send it with a cork stopper to use to reseal once open. It will last indefinitely with this stopper in place if stored standing. (All spirits and liqueurs should be stored so liquid is not in contact with stopper.)

Ooooo. I've got a couple of bottles of the Bacardi Heritage I got last time I was in London.... Should I keep a 50:50 mix with Bacardi Carta Blanca in the freezer to give my daiquiris a head start?

Freezing the rum is not necessary if using good ice. Keeping chilled mineral water in the fridge to aid dilution if needed and glasses in the fridge will make a bigger difference.

The top looks like a beer bottle. Does it re-seal?

The top is indeed a crown-cap and the bottle comes with a natural cork to re-seal.
