Gold rum, Navy rum and bergamot liqueur influence this seafarer's Daiquiri. The first four ingredients are an acronym of RNLI (Rum, Navy rum, Lime, Italics).
Please...
Typical daiquiri but with rich and punchier rum from the Navy. I really taste the bergamot from Italicus which always reminds me of earl grey. A found a few drops of saline brought it all together though.
I allowed my husband to make this cocktail tonight, unsupervised. I served it and tasted it and thought ohh it’s very limey was there no sugar in the recipe ? So sure enough yes, he forgot it. I got the syrup and added just a little and stirred it in, it kinda saved it. Will make again correctly.
I want to say a big thank you to Simon from all the crew and fundraisers at Rye Harbour Lifeboat Station for creating this amazing cocktail to celebrate the 200th year of the RNLI.
