Maraschino, gin and zesty citrus hit. Nice.
Maraschino, gin and zesty citrus hit. Nice.
Surprisingly dry to start but does mellow. Fruity brandy with a slightly dry tart finish.
Apple notes come through, rich and slightly bitter punt y mes works well. Maybe it's sacrilege but I added a bar spoon of cinnamon syrup for a warming autumnal twist.
Tastes very much like key lime pie! With single cream the 'float' just sank for me, just shook it all together instead and very yummy.
Very refreshing but far too easy to drink! Bright lemon and fresh raspberry (fresh homemade syrup).
Jamaican rum, sweet cherry and almond notes, supporting citrus and spice, very nice.
Pleasant balance of flavours and easy drinking, bitter from the amaro was a nice twist. Wouldn't bother with the soda though, I felt it was too diluted, ginger beer might be nice though.
Fruity and easy drinking. The coconut is an unexpected match with the cherry and cranberry. A bit sweet, a drop of bitters and saline seemed to round it out.
Negroni meets banana bread. It is sweeter and I added a drop of Angostura to amp up sweet spice notes. A autumn/winter negroni and a cocktail where you can actually taste the banana.
Typical daiquiri but with rich and punchier rum from the Navy. I really taste the bergamot from Italicus which always reminds me of earl grey. A found a few drops of saline brought it all together though.
Obvious aviation/casino vibes with but with very fresh cucumber up front instead.
Very light and summery, botanical and bittersweet. Goes down too easily!
Very easy drinking. Vanilla and pineapple mingle with rum. Added a drop or two of vanilla extract instead of infusing the rum.
Very underwhelming unfortunately, might be my peach schnapps, had to add 1/4 oz of creme de peche liqueur to give it some peach flavour.
Surprisingly punchy drink. I found calvados leads with autumnal spiced apple followed by winter berries. Quite dry but very quafable still.
I feel this should be on the Christmas cocktail list. Rich red fruits from the two wines, complex bitter and spice notes but still bright and easy to drink.
Gin, Bénédictine D.O.M., Dry vermouth
This is indeed super. Very flavoursome, I used 1/2 oz homemade grenadine and omitted the simple and went heavy on bitters. Slight Coca cola vibes? Lime zest is essential.
This was pleasant but a little uninspiring. I tried this similar recipe (I'm afraid I can't remember where I found it) and found it much more interesting.
2oz demerrera rum (I used El Dorado 12)
3/4oz Banana liqueur
1/2oz Cinnamon Syrup
1/2oz Lime juice
1/8oz Allspice dram
Nice and refreshing. Apple flavour dominates, ginger ale adds a little background but slightly one note. On addition of two dashes of angostura we felt this drink suddenly transformed into something much more enjoyable
A rare ingredient I picked up on a trip to Corfu - kumquat liquer is an island speciality. This is very clean, vibrant kumquat and stone fruit flavours, on sweeter side.
An unusual twist on a fruity rum punch, goes down rather too well, the cranberry adds a slight dryness not usually found with tiki type punches. I would however use two full ounces of rum next time!
Aged rum (6-10yr), Pedro Ximénez sherry, Orange-red aperitivo, Vanilla sugar syrup, (+ 2 more)
