When I've made this with Hayman's and Plymouth's Sloe Gins it was a solid five. Recently the best Sloe Gin I could find was Sipsmith. And for all thier talk about flavor variations from harvest years, the 2018 "special edition" was rather insipid in this cocktail. Maybe a dash of Cherry Heering would help.
