Green Chartreuse has been nearly impossible to find the last few years in Oregon, though I did find a bottle through sheer dumb luck. But now I'm afraid to use it lest I run out, which is an absurd condition. If only the Carthusian Monks could increase their production capacity just a wee bit.

Just looked in one of my local liquor stores. The bottle that was $99 1 month ago is now $149. Yikes.

They have actually decreased production which is why it is hard to find. I can get both yellow and green but the price is up about 80% (I am in San Diego, CA). There is an allocation and each store only gets a few bottles per month. My suggestion is to ask your liquor store if they can order a bottle for you and call you when it gets in but you may have sticker shock. I have seen pricing for 750ml bottles anywhere from $79 to $109. I now use my sparing. Good luck.
