A Momisette with absinthe (rather than pastis) is devine. I use Clandestine and add .5 oz lemon juice, along with the orgeat and sparkling water, ala Anders Erickson. Should be an Honorable Mention on this list (which I suppose this is).

In addition to the lovely drinks and duly worthy commemorations above, may I suggest also raising a glass to four blokes from Manchester, who on this day made a bit of a mark on the music scene with their major television debut. Perhaps toast with a This Charming Cocktail, which is slightly, only slightly less interesting than a sardine.

Love the Angostura on the nose with every sip.
I love this drink and have enjoyed it many times – some directly from the hand of Mr. Morgenthaler. Just recently, however, I discovered I was out of Bourbon, so I decided to sub in Johnny Walker Black. Still works! And thus, a new drink ‘round my house was born: The Urbane Restorative – an homage to the late Christopher Hitchens, whose love of “Mr. Walker’s Amber Restorative” was no secret. And in proper tribute, I then proceeded to take on all comers in a spirited defense of whiskey sours.
I believe you meant "Silver" Bullet. And re Bystander Effect: and partly (or mostly) because each concluded that other people were already doing something about it.
Wonderful Scofflaw by the way.
