Jägermister is a very different liqueur from kummel, so it isn't a viable substitute.

Kümmel is far more intense in flavour than aquavit.

Made curious by several Kummel recipes I bought "Lehment Rostocker Doppelkümmel" and was positively astonished about this product. It is sweet, but not overly and has ha good but not overwhelming caraway taste. One could even imagine to drink it well cooled as a shot.
