I have wanted to like this recipe for a long time. Too often I have all but one ingredient in this recipe on my bar, and have mixed many Frankenstein versions of this recipe to much chagrin. This recipe really sings as is. Don’t negotiate with it!

Complex. Bitter, herbal, and perfectly sweet for a digestive. A bit strong, but I think it is more the flavours than the proof of the cocktail.

Love what's going on with the flavors in this one, but I either stuffed up on the dilution or I've found out how boozy is too boozy for me.

Agree with bittersweet and herbal. Nice late evening drink. Expressing those lemon oils is key.
