I quite like this. Have made it twice with that new bottle of damson (gin) liqueur as it's the only recipe I have all the ingredients for... albeit with a substitution or two. Genepy for the Chartreuse and Torres 10 for the Cognac. Guess that makes it more of a Strapping Spaniard than a Burly Frenchman. Liked how the aromatic flavors of the Absinthe, Damson, and lemon zest hovered over the heavier elements.
