Iconic cocktails mark every decade as much as charting songs, fashion and design. People remember, or think they remember what they were drinking and these...
We were drinking Rainbows in the late '70s in Australia. Is it worth rediscovering? Perhaps mostly for its lurid appearance. It was always served in a Hurricane Glass but a Collins would do. Fill the glass with crushed ice; add 20ml Grenadine; carefully add 80ml orange juice as the second and middle layer; and separately combine 30ml Vodka with 20ml Blue Curacao and add carefully as the third and top layer. There was a variant that substituted Rum for the Vodka and pineapple juice for the orange juice. Ask for one at the next summer afternoon party you attend if you're feeling very young at heart.
