True. Even the “Review” description says it is a Dry Martini (3:1 ratio), so its’ name is a bit misleading. My favourite ratio is 2:1 which this guide calls wet. I did like the rarest touch of sweetness the Bianco brings to this, which is a bit like my favourite the gin blossom martini.

Well, all but two of our favourite Martini recipes conform to the 2:1 ratio. We make an exception for the Marsala Martini and the Left Bank Martini (but even those, we would argue, tend much more towards wet than dry). And all but three include either Vermouth Bianco or Americano Bianco; but the Marsala Martini has sweet notes from the Amaretto and the Left Bank Martini has them from the Elderflower Liqueur (and a couple of drops of Absinthe, which we add); and with the Hawkeye Martini we alter the recipe by splitting the Vermouth 2/3 dry and 1/3 bianco. But of course we hesitate to say that the dry Martini is one of the least inspired cocktail recipes of all time.
