Recipe here was intriguing enough to warrant some experimentation. I feel like it was too awash in pineapple (Lakeland brand, 26g sugar per serving, no added sugar). 50-20-40 resulted in better expression of the flavors. A scant splash of lemon juice brightened things up, but I would not go overboard with acid. Use just enough (5 ml?) to wake it up.
I would say I'm pleased with myself on the adjustments here, but that ain't nothing new... More of note that this is a sort of weird cocktail to have Laphroaig be a winner in.
