Being pretentious I did it with japanese Gin. Don't go there. Since is not so flora, it was to dry. Nevertheless the arm fight between the chartreuse and the edelflower, at times taste green and then St Germain. But not at the same time -maybe I didn't move well the shaker? -nop) The salt round it. I'm going to do another with other Gin... wait

-see? I was right! is better with a floral one!

I enjoyed this however I did use the saline solution. I think that it is not needed, it seemed salty to me. I feel that it masked the chartreuse. Will try again without.

Done both Gypsy variants I personally prefer this version. Some drops of Chartreuse Elixir give a very nice accent.

Ooh I have some elixir and now am dying to try this! Unfortunately I have run out of St. Germain 😢

A tad on the sweet side, but good

Lovely variation! I cut the lime juice slightly to let the other ingredients sing. Worked well.

With my last sip I must agree with you!

There's an old Bourbon & Branch recipe by Dominic Venegas circa 2007 called the Gypsy with the same ingredients.

Many thanks for pointing out, Frederic. I've added a note and link above.
