Used Dewars 12yo and Talisker. I think some more robust blend and peatier would help, seemed too sweet, will need to rethink and try again.

Tried this with lemon oleo in place of the sugar syrup. Very tasty - probably throws the balance a bit more fruity but I reckon it works.

Beautifully poised. We go with Lagavulin.
