Love this version, so simple and still delicious. I started making these with the addition of Aperol:

1/2 lime, cut into wedges
1-3/4 oz Cachaça
3/4 oz Aperol
1/4 oz 1:1 simple syrup

I prefer to shake with the cubed ice as i like the dirty style of serving, end result tends to be equally good. (I totally did not borrow that method from the Cocktail Codex)

This was probably my first really good cocktail made with cachaça. I used agave syrup instead of sugar.

I like to use a whole lime in my Caipirinha, particularly as supermarket limes tend to be small.
