Found this a bit floral tasting, but was expecting that with the Creme de Violette. Added 1/4 oz of Grand Marnier and it tamed the floral nature a bit. Great from brunch.
There is another cocktail I enjoy, though it can be a little sweet, that brings together crème de violette and Grand Marnier/Cointreau. The Water Lily is 3/4 oz of each: gin, violette, Grand Marnier, lemon juice. I usually reduce the Grand Marnier some as well as the violette as it tastes too much like candy if I don't :) Cheers!
