Didn’t really get the cola but I used monkey shoulder, cocci di Torino Rossi and fresh pineapple but liked it much better with rocks.

Tastes like cherry cough syrup. Can see how cherry coke fans might like it though.

Definitely needs the bitters as it would be a bit basic without (even better doubled up to 2 dashes). Reminiscent of cola but in a good way

Yeah it's alright. Your idea of double bitters is better and I do get the cola taste, but again always depends on what whisky and vermouth used. I used Walker red and Cocchi storico
