Very nice but I found that the vanilla aroma from the vodka (made my own) is overpowered by the espresso coffee. Would rather stick to the standard expression martini recipe or even better the Lazarus!

Enjoyed this but might up the vanilla syrup to 1 oz next time. Mr Black mustn't be as sweet as Kahlua.

Mr Black is indeed much dried than Kahlua.

I think Kahlua is very sweet, you can dial down the sugar content by using something like Mr Black Coffee liqueur.
