I actually made this as a split base of Mezcal and smoky whisky as the latter wasn't smoky enough. It was actually quite delicious and rich. Loved the apricot and maple in particular. The only thing to say is that the orange was maybe lost. I wonder if I used lemon, if it would have another dimension.

Made this with A.D. Rattray cask Islay and Massenez apricot brandy. I would happily imbibe a couple of these 👍

I made this 3 times, using different ratios of maple to apricot... The measure of maple should be the same as the apricot and orange. At 5 ml, the maple isn't enough. Bump the apricot to 10 ml, then that's too much... Wee Beastie was weak. Port Charlotte 10, superb... Remarkable changes depending on the specs.

I was just a little heavy with the maple syrup, but this was a nice first cocktail with scotch as opposed to having it straight.
