Herencia tequila is distilled at Destileria La Fortuna, a family owned distillery on The Positos Ranch in the highlands of Jalisco, near the town of Arandas which was established in 1865 by Don Miguel Orozco Navarro. Long a supplier of agave and distillate to other producers, in 2003 Destileria La Fortuna launched Herencia Mexicana, the distillery’s first own tequila brand.
