Fantastic drink. Got to be careful with the Maraschino else it overpowers but needless to say, I'm going back in for round 2.

On heavy rotation at the moment. Brilliant cocktail. Feels like the rum can only be Cuban! Bowmore for the Islay flourish. A touch more BeneDOM for the extra sweetness and complexity.
Much like those statement linen trousers you bought on your 'olidays: best enjoyed somewhere sunny, and maybe just the once...
On a rum odyssey at the moment and here I find myself, dashed on the rocks of one HELL of a beverage. Greater than the sum of its parts by some distance but with a respectful nod to each. Christmas on the beach. English Harbour 5 y/o rum for me.
Tried a twist after seeing a fiery version online with ginger beer instead of soda and it. is. magic.
The drink that brought me here several years ago still a top 3 favourite. Agree with some others; rye over bourbon for me. Such a pleasure to make this for someone who has never had it - a proper crowd pleaser.
Best new cocktail I've tried for ages. It's like a more complex and grapefruity Paper Plane and - while perhaps less drinkable - it makes for a genuinely interesting apperotif. Would be interested in the Lillet Blanc variants.
