Originally aimed at travel retail (duty free), Bowmore Enigma is a 12 year-old Islay malt with a high proportion of malt aged in ex-sherry casks.

Appearance:

Clear, deep coppery amber.

Aroma:

Old sherry impregnated leather, liquorice, earthy peppermint, apricot and gentle peat smoke.

Taste:

Rich and smoky with vegetal peat, liquorice stick, treacle/dark honey, lemon zest, dried fruit, sea salt and white pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Salty oats, sweet peat and white pepper spice.
