Released in April 2013 and named after the loch near the distillery, this is the first of a range of sherry cask-matured single malts under the Loch Gorm name from the Kilchoman on the Isle of Islay. Only 10,000 bottles of this inaugural five year-old bottling were released.
Distilled in 2009 and aged 4 years in oloroso sherry butts and finished in oloroso sherry hogshead casks for six weeks. Bottled 2013.

Clear, coppery golden amber.
Pungent, burnt toast and peaty smoke with dried fruit, charcoal and faint iodine.
Initial honeyed sweetness and plump sultana fruit is quickly dried by peaty smoked bready malt. Notes of orange zest, cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
Dry peaty smoke, charcoal edged burnt toast and blackened fruitcake with cinnamon spice. Youthful and exuberant but with a maturity beyond its years.
