Chairman's Reserve was created in 1999 and is so named due to being the project of then Chairman, Laurie Barnard. A blend of light and heavy rums aged in ex-Bourbon casts for an average of 5 years. The final liquid is then put back into casks to marry for a further six months prior to bottling.

Heavy rums from the Vendome pot still (less than 5%) add character to light rums from the two-column McMillan continuous still.

Appearance:

Dark golden amber colour.

Aroma:

Oily yacht varnish and toffee-apple with a hint of spicy vanilla.

Taste:

Slightly sweet, pot still richness and spice with vanilla, dried fruit, honey, raisins and tobacco.

Aftertaste:

Apple and tobacco notes come to the fore in the fruity, lightly spiced finish.
