Inspired by its wide use in Arabic countries, Monin produced this fig flavoured syrup for use in alcoholic or non-alcoholic cocktails. “Ingredients: Sugar, water, concentrated fig juice, acidifying agent: citric acid, flavouring, coulouring agents: caramel E150d, E163. Total fig juice: 10% minimum.”

Appearance:

Clear, deep coppery amber.

Aroma:

Fresh figs with cinnamon, caramel, pungent black tea.

Taste:

Syrupy, blackberry, figs and black tea and muscovado sugar.

Aftertaste:

Berry fruit and figs with smoked black tea.
