History:

During the 1980s the Vodka & Tonic knocked the G&T off the top spot as Britain's signature drink, its popularity helped by frequent appearances in television series such as ITV's Minder, broadcast 1979 to 1994. The comedy-drama series stared the affable but unscrupulous entrepreneurial trader, Arthur Daley who was a regular at the Winchester Club where his usual was "a large V.A.T", a wordplay on Value Added Tax. Arthur never paid for drinks, so "stick it on the slate" would evitable follow his bar call.

i haven't given it a name yet, but my vodka tonic has a wedge of lime, peychaud's bitters, and a splash of montenegro amaro
