Serve in a Sling glass

Ingredients:
12 fresh Mint leaves
1 12 oz White overproof rum (unaged Jamaican/funky)
12 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Monin Almond (Orgeat) Syrup
3 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
Top up with Lemon-lime soda (Sprite/7-Up)

Garnish: Mint sprig & lime wedge

How to make:

Lightly MUDDLE mint (just to bruise). Add next five ingredients, SHAKE with ice and strain into ice-filled glass. TOP with lemonade, lightly stir and serve with straws.

I would cut the mint leaves down to 8, and try Smith and Cross with Wrap and Nephew to add some depth to the drink.

Big rum drinker, and this was OK. Not great. It is a very traditional rum punch, and a little sweet. I think the mint overwhelms the drink.
