Simple, refreshing and brilliant. One of the best ways to appreciate a good scotch whisky.

I've just had a Laphroaig 10 year old in a highball. What I find particularly sad is that this drink is too often seen as 'sullying' a single malt by supposed afficionados, but also largely overlooked as not a 'proper' cocktail by the rest of us. This is a magnificent, and magnificently simple drink that deserves much more attention.

A very underappreciated drink these days.
