Ron Montero’s sugar cane molasses are sourced from India, Pakistan, Egypt, Brazil and Mexico. These are fermented and then distilled using a column still with a partial vacuum to reduce the distilling temperature. The rum is aged for at 2.5 – 3 years in a Soleras and Criaderas system.
Ron Montero’s aging uses starts in a new barrels and each year is transferred down in the Soleras and Criaderas system to older wood.

Clear and bright, light-mid golden amber.
Light toffee and maple syrup with gently spiced oak, hazelnut and vanilla.
Medium bodied and dry. Slightly aggressive and raw with drying spicy oak, hazelnut, subdued vanilla and hints of cacao.
Dry and nutty with lingering black pepper and nutmeg spice.
