Yuzushu are Japanese liqueurs made by infusing yuzu fruit in sake with alcohol and sugar.
Yuzu is a sweet and sour citrus fruit that resembles a knobbly grapefruit and the yuzu fruit used tend to come from Kōchi Prefecture on the island of Shikoku or Hyogo Prefecture in the Kansai region of Honshu.
Described as "sunshine in a bottle," Yuzushu can be sipped chilled as an aperitif, as a complement to desserts, or used as a versatile cocktail ingredient. See Yuzushu cocktails
