This November, Patrón Tequila celebrates Día de Muertos in style, launching immersive exhibitions and bar takeovers while featuring themed, signature cocktails.

Día de Muertos, otherwise known as the Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican celebration in which families commemorate their lost loved ones.

Bringing the traditional celebration to Europe while showcasing the brand's homeland, culture and heritage, Patrón hosts Día de Muertos festivities across the UK between 1st - 3rd November 2019. Among the events are a series of immersive exhibitions and more than 200 venues will celebrate the occasion, from bar takeovers to vibrant activations.

Cocktail enthusiasts will have the opportunity to taste signature Patrón cocktails, including El Diablo and bespoke serves at participating bars. Along with specially-crafted cocktails is Día de Muertos inspired window displays at shopping retailers across London, including Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Amathus. Exclusive, limited edition Patrón Tequila bottles are also available at Selfridges, hand-painted by renowned Mexican artist, Lourdes Villagomez.

Visit an immersive exhibition

Patrón presents a three-day experience showcasing themed artworks by influential Mexican artists, Lourdes Villagomez, Lola Argemi, Sofia Castellanos, Francesco Pinzon and Cocolvu, a tequila education experience and bespoke Día de Muertos cocktails.

The event will be held at 19 Greek Street in Soho, London between 1st - 3rd November 2019. Tickets are priced at £15 for a two-hour daytime slot, which includes entry and two cocktails or £30 for entry and two cocktails at the VIP launch party. A Día de Muertos inspired dinner will be held on the 2nd November while the bar will be showcasing a bespoke menu in their themed venue especially crafted for the occasion. Guests can also write messages to loved ones on photobooth photos and add them to Tigerlily's Día de Muertos tree.

On the 31st October, Oriole hosts live gypsy jazz music in an Día de Muertos inspired space decked with marigolds and skulls. El Diablo

Celebrate Día de Muertos with Patrón's El Diablo cocktail.
Glass: Mug or Collins glass
Garnish: Lime wedge
Method: Pour Patrón Silver Tequila and fresh lime juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Then strain into ice-filled glass and top with ginger beer. Drizzle Cassis over the top, garnish and serve.

50ml Patrón Silver tequila
25ml Fresh lime juice
150ml Ginger beer
Top with Crème de Cassis
