The purists seem to be struggling with this but I thought it was tremendous. I went with 2:1:1 and just Cynar, so half way to a cin-cyn, and Cocchi vermouth amaro. Brilliant and packed with flavour.

Fords gin 30, Cynar 15, Cocchi dopo Teatro 15 for a small serve.

The link to a Negroni is tenuous at best. The shifting of ratios seems to propel the gin forward, but on a more aggressively, stridently bitter, candied citrus flume. I made this at 1/3 the measures called for here, and it was still mad impactful. Added to favorites, ooh yeah.

Very interesting cocktail. Paired well with an artichoke starter. There is something about the Negroni style cocktail that I find harsh in flavour. I think it is the red Italian Bitter which I have tried all different brands to no avail.
When left to breathe, it does improve, but the bitterness still overwhelms me.
I did like the cocktail, just did not love it.

This little Campari makes a drink that barely qualifies as a Negroni but still a delicious aperitivo

Fantastic cocktail, made to these exact specs.
