Flavorful, but too sweet and Chartreuse-forward. Cutting the simple by half and the Chartreuse by a 1/4 did allow the rosemary and gin to cut through more, resulting in more balance. At this point, however, citrus/acid may need to be added or the simple taken out altogether. (30 Jun 2023, 7:08a)
Seems to be missing a component. I like Gin and Chartreuse together but it is not complete. If I had to drink it again I would cut the sugar syrup in half or all together. (I shook the Rosemary with the ice and components and that was the best part of the drink)
I agree with the 3oz of liquor being too much so I have reduced all the measures in the recipe above by 25%. I've also amended the comment to highlight sweetness. [23.Aug.20]
