It's very dry and almost...dull. Yes, there's layers of apple and a hint of cinnamon and then a twinge of rum at the end - but it has no brightness from a citrus.

Added a little acid adjuster solution (not enough to make it a sour, but enough to bring a tartness) and it's like a liquid green apple. Much prefer it this way.

This is truly a sipping cocktails. So many flavours and all of them strong. Excellent cocktail. Apples, cinnamon, and rum all combine for a burst of tastes that is perfect for cooler months. We had it with a spicy luncheon and it did not get overwhelmed by the food. Would definitely have again.
