Do you have any notes on the history/origin of this drink? Can't seem to find any info on it outside of just the recipe

A quick search of my records shows it dates back to before 2000. I've added what I know above.

More disappointing than I expected. Did not taste much coconut, which prevented it from being redolent of Bounty. Also, my colour was more of an orange than a red, although that could be because of a post production issue.

Agreed. I've revisited in an attempt to improve but not a great cocktail. The image is from 2001 and pre-digital photography so I'll replace ASAP. Mine was peach-coloured.
